The Monk

When Lily Delancey Canacee K.C. Pauls was two years old she decided to take her family to Europe. This was not a small project for a two-year old to initiate. She pondered long and hard the best approach to accomplish her task. Then she put her plan in motion.

She walked up to her father who was sitting in his easy chair hidden behind a copy of the Plain Dealer sports page. Reaching straight out over her head she grabbed the center of the newspaper with her hand, crumpling it in her fist and pulled as hard as she could.

Her surprised father looked at her in amazement and was about to yell out a stern admonishment but Lily beat him to the punch with the immortal words that were to forever change the destiny of the Pauls clan.

“Get outta da town Daddy.”
